Program Description
The AAMA Assessment-based Certificate program in Geriatrics is a microcredential that provides comprehensive education in four key clinical topics:
  • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, or enlarged prostate)
  • Stroke
  • Depression
  • Advance care planning
This program will expand and advance your knowledge and understanding of these common conditions, focusing specifically on the presentation and management of each in the geriatric patient.

Program Overview
To earn the certificate, learners must successfully complete all four courses and the final assessment.
  • Course 1: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in Geriatric Patients
  • Course 2: Cardiovascular Diseases: Stroke in Geriatric Patients
  • Course 3: Depression in Geriatric Patients
  • Course 4: Advance Care Planning for Geriatric Patients

Additional Information
  • A practice exam is included for each course.
  • The final assessment test must be passed with a score of 80% or higher in order to earn the CEU credit.
  • This is a closed book test, with no option for going back into the course once the test has been started
Retake Information
Two retakes on the exam are allowed.
CEU Offered
This Certificate Program has been approved for 16 CEUs G/A/C.
The time allotted for completion of the Certificate Program is 60 days.
