The course will also address stigma and cultural factors that can influence alcohol use, treatment seeking, and patient-provider communication. Learners will examine non-judgmental and trauma-informed communication techniques to employ during alcohol use screenings and brief interventions. These practical and culturally sensitive strategies will hep support early identification and intervention in clinical and rural settings.
