Course Format: Video
More than 1 million people in the U.S. have HIV, a virus that weakens the immune system, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Learn about HIV, including epidemiology, transmission, how the virus replicates in the body, and provider-patient communication for people living with HIV. Review relevant community resources and HIV screening guidelines by the CDC and other national organizations.

: This course was originally offered as a session at the 2022 AAMA Annual Conference. Conference attendees who have already received credit by attending this session are ineligible to earn additional CEUs by taking this course via the e-Learning Center.
