Bundle Overview
The Topics in Telemedicine: Go the Distance with Remote Patient Care program is composed of three courses:
Course 1: Introduction to Telemedicine - 1.5 Admin/Gen CEUs
This module will explore what telemedicine is, the different ways it can be used in patient care, its advantages and disadvantages, and basic equipment required by providers and patients to use telemedicine.Course 2: Telemedicine: Care Delivery and Patient Management - 1.5 Admin/Gen CEUs
This module will introduce you to the role of medical assistants in telemedicine in ambulatory care practices; the protocol for setting up telemedicine visits; and the types of specialties, common uses, and barriers in telemedicine.Course 3: Telemedicine: Documentation - 1.5 Admin/Gen CEUs
This module describes key requirements for documentation of telemedicine, including clinical documentation, the importance of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, and documentation for billing and reimbursement.
Complete the following three courses, and a final exam, to earn the certificate:
Each course includes a posttest with a minimum passing score of 80%. Users will earn CEUs as they pass the individual courses. Those who pass some, but not all, of the three courses will still earn CEUs for the courses that were passed, however, only those who pass all three courses will receive a program-level certificate upon completion.
